Mr. Lejla Hadžić was born on May 31, 1982 in Zvornik. She graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Sarajevo in 2005, where in 2019 she obtained the title of Master of Laws at the Department of Criminal Law.

She started her career in 2006 at the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where she worked on legislation harmonization and European integration cases. She was the secretary of the Structured Dialogue on Justice between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union. Since December 2021, she has been employed as an advisor in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During her service in the state administration of Bosnia and Herzegovina, she gained knowledge about the legislative process, and had the opportunity to work directly, or otherwise be involved in the main processes for Bosnia and Herzegovina when it comes to justice and internal affairs. She was the secretary and member of numerous delegations of Bosnia and Herzegovina for European integration, negotiations and implementation of the Stabilization and Association Agreement, and other multilateral and bilateral international agreements in the field of security, she participated in the process of coordination and harmonization with EU standards, and the implementation and coordination of the harmonized approach the fulfillment of FATF and MONEYVAL standards, as well as the processes of strengthening the rule of law and legal security through the reform of the justice system.

She was elected as a member of the HJPC of BiH by the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina in July 2020.
